Day 2-3 (August 20-21. 2013)

-          Panagsama beach – Moalboal, Cebu

We came from Kawasan waterfalls in Badian then we headed to Moalboal market and bought supplies. On our 2nd and final day in Cebu we opted to stay in Moalboal beach.

-          Panagsama beach – Moalboal, Cebu

We did osmeña peak traverse day hike (MANTALONGON-SANLAGAN). Our feet felt pain from the previous activity we had. We opted to ride on habal-habal then head to kawasan waterfalls jump off.

1140        We started our trek. Everyone will experience a short and easy trek because vehicles are not allowed to enter the area.

1145        A short 5-minutes walk led us to the registration area. A reasonable 10 pesos registration fee was collected and they issued an official receipt. It was wide and easy path going to the waterfalls.

You can buy foods at restaurants built near in the waterfalls. Bring food if you want to spend less.

I love the mountain and hiking the highest peak in Cebu is a must. If you are coming from Cebu: Go to south bus terminal then take a bus that will pass by Dalaguete.

**we came from Barangay Tan-awan in Oslob

1300        Depart for Dalaguete Poblacion (pronounce as Dalaget).

               Take a bus bound to Cebu then drop in Dalaguete (60php).

1345        ETA Dalaguete. Lunch.

1420        Depart for Mantalongon market

                Ride on habal-habal (motorcycle) (50php/ head).

1450        ETA Mantalongon market.

After the gentle giants encounter, we headed to Tumalog waterfalls also found in Oslob.

Day 1   – 19 August 2013

*** Continuation - from the whale shark watching resort.

1105     Head to Tumalog waterfalls | habal-habal (50php/ head/ 1 way)

Tumalog waterfalls is approximately 6km away from the resort or 3km meters away from the national highway

1115     ETA registration area | 20php

Tell the driver to wait for you or just bring you all the way to the waterfalls.

            We opted to walk from the registration area.

On our first day, we swam with whale shark then trekked to tumalog waterfalls both found in Oslob.

Day 1   – 19 August 2013

0530     We arrived at Mactan-Cebu International Airport – Lapu-lapu City, Mactan Island. 

0600     Head to south terminal | Taxi (230php)

0630     ETA Cebu South bus terminal, Natalio Bacalso Avenue

0640     Depart for Oslob | Ceres aircon bus (150php)

            Tell the bus conductor to drop you in Barangay Tan-awan whale shark watching resort.

1000     ETA Barangay Tanawan, Oslob, Cebu.

            We opted to enter MB’s Sunrise View resort.      

            500php for snorkeling + 70php for resort entrance fee and wash up.    

            After paying the fees, we attended a brief orientation of dos and don’ts of whale shark watching.
