On our
first day, we swam with whale shark then trekked to tumalog waterfalls both
found in Oslob.
Day 1

shark watching & Tumalog waterfalls in Oslob, Cebu
0530 We arrived at Mactan-Cebu
International Airport – Lapu-lapu City, Mactan Island.

to south terminal | Taxi (230php)

for Oslob | Ceres aircon bus (150php)
Tell
the bus conductor to drop you in Barangay Tan-awan whale shark watching resort.
1000 ETA
Barangay Tanawan, Oslob, Cebu.
We
opted to enter MB’s Sunrise View resort.
500php for
snorkeling + 70php for resort entrance fee and wash up.
After paying the fees, we attended a brief
orientation of dos and don’ts of whale shark watching.

The assigned boat
brought us to the whale shark watching area which is 50-80 meters away from the
shore.

All
visitors have 30 minutes watching time.
We saw approximately 6-8 whale sharks
on the area. Local name for whale shark is “TUKI” or “BUTANDING”.
Whale sharks are present
from morning up to around 12:30 in the afternoon.
