Mt. Batulao via new trail
Moving time and Day(s): 2 hours and 10
minutes | 1 day
6 July 2013
The original plan was a simple jog at the CCP and I had no plan for a trail run
but something triggered me to run on trails. Mount Batulao was the no. 1 choice
for me despite the blistering heat of the sun but because it is near in my
hometown (Calatagan).
I started running at around 0730H from the national highway. Of course, there’s
nothing new in Mt. Batulao except from the road construction. I run on a
relaxed pace and occasionally stopped at the kubo. The heat of the sun was
unbearable despite the cool wind. I was hesitant to go all the way to the summit
but I went though. When I looked around at the summit, I felt better and
peaceful. After 30 minutes, I run down at the same trail. Sorry guys I
don’t have any pictures because my camera was stolen 1 month ago (and also my
laptop, deuter backpack, etc).
7 years ago, I entered the world of mountaineering, I never imagined myself
running on trails and I don’t have any idea about trail running or maybe it was
not popular way back then. On my post “Why do I climb mountain?”, I mentioned
that I love the challenging trail, day or multiple day hikes, running on trail
and so much to mention. This one of the reason why I climb mountain, and I’m
still in a process of learning and discoveries
