Sibuyan Island is
dominated by picturesque Mount Guiting-guiting. It has a lush biodiversity withstanding
of flora and fauna. Numerous rivers, streams and waterfalls are hosted by the
mountain. These rivers were once proclaimed and still remain as one of the
cleanest rivers in the Philippines.
Perhaps Mt. Guiting-guiting
and famous waterfalls are top destinations and attractions in the region. Lambingan
is one of the several well-known falls in Sibuyan Island.
Lambingan falls jump
off is easy to recognize and it is located at the side of the main road. The
trail is straightforward, well established and maintained by the lady caretaker.
According to her, before it was open for public it was a place for lovers where
its name came from. Lambingan is a local word means caressing/petting/romance
or whatever lovers do.
