Another captivating landscape
was the cascading seven waterfalls found in Mambukal. Waterfalls are hosted by
Mt. Kanlaon. Mambukal Resort is the jump off to the seven waterfalls where
visitors are required to register before proceeding. Guides are also present to
give assistance. There are kid guides few meters away from the entrance.
Ancient big trees
covered the entire trail up to sixth waterfalls. Trails are more established
and paved but might be slippery when wet. However, safety handrail is provided.
It will take only 5-minutes or less easy trek to reach each waterfall. Swimming
in the first up to fifth waterfall is prohibited. The last waterfall will take
10-15 minutes of trekking from the sixth waterfall consist of multiple-short
river crossing, rough road and gradual trail. Natural spring will be passed by
before reaching the last waterfalls in Mambukal. Furthermore, there are not
only seven waterfalls but twelve waterfalls. The five other waterfalls are not
in the territory of Mambukal but can be visited by taking habal-habal.
Tips: Riding on habal-habal or motorbike is the most convenient and fastest way to reach the seventh waterfall and other waterfalls by descending or reversing from seventh down to first. Others took habal-habal or motorbike after ascending the seven waterfalls.
